300 KM FORGIVENESS RIDE | MAFETENG →VILJOENSKROON

From 24–27 August 2026, I’ll be cycling approximately 300 km one way from Mafeteng to Viljoenskroon as a preparation ride towards my bigger goal of cycling across Africa.

But this training ride has given me an opportunity to ask: What can this journey also be useful for?

The answer that came to me is forgiveness. So many things in our world are broken because restoration is needed. Streets remain littered because we inherit the attitude that “things were already like this before us.” Marriages, friendships and relationships are broken by things that happened in the past. Communities, institutions and even nations continue to carry old wounds.

Perhaps one of the most powerful tools we have to begin putting things back together is forgiveness.Forgiveness does not erase the past. It gives us a chance to stop allowing the past to determine our future.

So, as I prepare for the much bigger journey across Africa, I’m choosing to make this 300 km ride a small journey for a much bigger message:

CYCLING TO REMIND OURSELVES TO FORGIVE. ❤️🚴🏽‍♂️

This time, I’ll be staying in hotels along the way so that I can return to Lesotho in time for an event on Saturday.

300 KM. ONE WAY. ONE MESSAGE: FORGIVENESS.
